DESERT EXCURSION FROM JODHPUR TO THE UNSPOILT DUNES OF THE THAR DESERT AT REGGIES CAMEL CAMP OSIAN
Reggie’s Camel Camp at Osian is a beautifully appointed tented camp set on the highest sand dune of the Thar Desert. Just 60 kilometers from Jodhpur, the hour’s drive provides easy access for those who would like to include a Camel safari or a dune experience in their Rajasthan itinerary.
We offer two packages:
Camel Safari with Desert Sundowners and BBQ Dinner - Rs 5,000/ +18% tax per person
Upon arrival at the Camp, you will mount your camel and ride out through the majestic Thar Desert.
We have identified the perfect spot to stop for a sundowner, a tradition that was originally introduced by the armed forces of the British East India Company in the early 19th century when soldiers would cap off the day with a gin and tonic as the sun sets beneath the horizon.
Of course, this is all done with the impeccable style that Reggie Singh has become renowned for – comfortable campaign chairs, warm wraps, mobile bar, tasty nibbles, candle light and our ever attentive staff, who are committed to ensuring the evening will be one you are sure to remember. Watch the sky turn the most glorious hues of pinks, gold, rose and orange and delight in the unique solitude this remote desert location offers. You will then be transported back to the camp by jeep. Here the bonfires are lit and you will be entertained by traditional Rajasthani musicians and dancers while our chef prepares your BBQ dinner.

Camel Safari and Dinner option Rs 3,000 + 18% tax per person
Upon entering the village of Osian you will be met by our safari staff with your camels to commence the hour long ride through the majestic dunes of the Thar Desert to Reggies Camel Camp Osian.
Upon reaching the camp, the dry desert gives way to the trickling sound of water fountains as you make your way to our pool area which is perched on a 180 foot sand dune, one of the highest in the desert. Relax with a well-earned drink as you watch the setting sun turn the sky a myriad of pastel hues. At sunset, head down to the lodge area to sit around the bonfire and watch traditional Rajasthani musicians and dancers perform, as our chef prepares dinner for you while our attentive staff ensure your evening will indeed be a memorable one.
